Hi, I would like to buy a Tesoro silver umax and my local dealer does not stock them but has said that the Laser Scout is the same machine, rebadged. Is this true or a sales tacktic ?

hi there just a short word on frequencies that i use, 3khz to 5khz i use this on woodland and grass as it is good for going deep and good for cutting out iron and to find the larger bits,7.5 to 10khz i use this for the run of the mill work as this seems to work well in general, then i use 12 khz through to 18.75 khz this is were my finds tend to get better as i am a fan off silver hammerds this is were i use a tesoro tejon pro 17.5 khz and minelab 705 running 18.75 khz as this works very well for me on thin silver and gold but not so good if there is iron in the soil so i then go for a lower khz number i hope this is a little help for you. :D

I'm clearer now on the frequencies. After more shopping around i decided to go for the Minelab Xterra 305. Thanks for your help. :)
