The UKMD Forums are owned and operated by UK Metal Detecting. Access to the forums is free, however it is first necessary to register with UK Metal Detecting before you are able to contribute to any discussion thread. To register, all you need to do is click on the "I want to Register" icon at the top right of the forum index page and follow the instructions. Once you have successfully registered you will be able to contribute to the forums and have access to extra benefits. Please ensure you enter your correct email address otherwise you will not be able to login.

Note that by registering with UK Metal Detecting, you agree to adhere to the UKMD Forums Code of Conduct as detailed in another thread in this forum. Users who violate the Code of Conduct may be temporarily, or even permanently suspended from posting on any of the forums.

The UKMD forums are moderated by a small team of community members invited by UK Metal Detecting. None of the Moderation Team is employed by or otherwise linked to UK Metal detecting.

When a moderator is posting in an official capacity, the post will bear a sign indicating that fact. Moderators may also post as members of the community, and are subject to the same rules as everybody else.

The content of messages posted on the forums is not subject to editorial control prior to being made available for reading, and as such you may see objectionable content. UK Metal Detecting are not responsible for the content of any posts by users and you should report anything that you feel is not acceptable to the Moderation Team by using the Report to Moderator link at the bottom of the post in question. Please use this link if you believe that the post violates the forum Code of Conduct. Do not use the link for anything other than for reporting violations.

Although Moderators will attempt to keep all objectionable content off the forums, they cannot be responsible for failure to do so. All messages express the views and opinion of the author. The Moderators may remove, edit, move, or close topics (by locking the thread) that they feel do not follow the Code of Conduct.

Should a Moderator move a thread you have started to another forum, the act of moving the thread will not be intended as any form of negative action, but merely assistance so you get the most helpful contributions from other users of the forums. Similarly, should you see a thread that you believe would get better responses in another forum then please PM a Moderator and suggest where the thread may be more suited.

Please note that UK Metal Detecting cannot be held responsible for anything you do as a result of information or advice obtained from these forums, or from linked third party websites. You should fully understand what any recommended changes to your computer may do.

The Code of Conduct is subject to change at any time, however we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible regarding any changes. A current version of the Code of Conduct is always available on this forum.
