Goldie Mk1 or Power?

The wife says she will pay the difference on a detector upgrade for me for Xmas.I recently had a few hours with a Goldmaxx Mk1 and I loved it.My question is about the difference between the Mk1 and the Power.I have heard the Mk1 has a lot of fans who prefer it to the power and I must admit that price comes into it as well. A used Mk1 is a lot cheaper than the Power but is the power worth the extra which might amount to a couple of hundred pounds.I will have to p/x my Vaquero or sell privately,whats it worth?(with control box cover,coil cover,instructions and original box?Thanks guys and gals.

I still have my Mk1 and just can't bring myself to pay the extra for the Power as I can run the iron level knob way round and still I.D. the ferrous and winding up the level really adds to depth.
Then the conventional "Tesoro type" discrimination does come in to its own on some sites.

The faster recovery speed of the new version I don't think I need or the wireless headphone transmitter but some might think they are must have's. You really could do with trying both before you spend. Nothing worse than upgrading then thinking "I should have spent that little bit extra".
