Im afraid the best advice i can give you is most likely not what you want to hear.If i were you i would hold back on getting a new tector for a while at least until you've mastered the Ace.This unit is very easy to use and gets very good results on most types of site that you seem familiar with.Taking into account the amount of money you will need to spend to improve on the Ace i think that you would be wise to get plenty of experience b4 moving "up".If you are at a stage where you are finding scrap and digging it then a more expensive unit is a waste of money because you will be just digging more trash-and thats only if you can match the level that you are at with your current model. You will find that joining a club or palling up with a local experienced detectorist will pay dividends and move you on to a stage where a better machine will be a good investment.Good luck-be lucky.

The best selling machines in the U.K. for years were the Tesoro's/Laser's with no meters, just beep and dig.
Very lightweight, simple to use, love hammered and no probability meter to confuse.

As your not in the U.S. wanting to cherry pick the parks you only really need ferrous/non ferrous I.D.

Most Tesoro's will detect deeper and pinpoint better than the Garrett. Should be some around secondhand though people often hold on to them keeping them in the boot of the car at all times even if they have "upgraded" to the latest meter I.D. wonder machine.
